(GREEN BAY) - Steve Beuerlein completed a magnificent day by rushing for a 5-yard touchdown as time expired, giving the Carolina Panthers a 33-31 victory over the Green Bay Packers. Beuerlein, who was 29-of-43, picked apart the Packers' confused pass defense for 373 yards and three touchdowns. He also led the Panthers on a 63-yard drive in the final 3:52 for the winning score. A 5-yard quarterback draw by Beuerlein, one of football's least mobile quarterbacks, was the final improbability in Carolina's emotional win at one of football's toughest venues. Green Bay had its three-game winning streak snapped and took a severe blow to its playoff hopes.
