Philadelphia Eagles (8-6) 31, Green Bay Packers (6-8) 0
Sunday December 16th 1990 (at Philadelphia)
(PHILADELPHIA) - The Eagles clinched a playoff berth for the third straight season, beating Green Bay 31-0 as Randall Cunningham ran for one touchdown and threw for another, and Keith Byars caught and threw touchdown passes. Cunningham threw for 241 yards and ran for 56 more. Rookie Fred Barnett had five catches for 108 yards, all in the first half, as the Eagles ended a two-game losing skein. Because their conference record will be better in any scenario than any of the other teams with a potential of eight losses, they become the fifth NFC team to lock up a place in the playoffs. That leaves just one NFC spot to be decided among Dallas (7-7) and a group of teams with including the Packers, who fell to 6-8. This game was never close as the Eagles led 17-0 at the half, played it conservatively and let their defense take over.
