(CINCINNATI) - FB Pete Johnson rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns in his first start of the season, and QB Turk Schonert threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Cincinnati Bengals crushed the Green Bay Packers 34-14. Cincinnati, 3-6, scored four first-half touchdowns and coasted to its to second straight victory. The Packers fell to 4-5 with their second consecutive loss. Cincinnati took advantage of the NFL's worst defense, scoring on four of their six first half possessions for a 27-7 lead. One drive ended with a fumble on the Green Bay 7. The teams traded first quarter touchdowns, with Green Bay holding a 7-6 lead on the strength of Gary Lewis' block of the extra-point try by Jim Breech. The Bengals then rolled off three unanswered second quarter touchdowns en route to its highest score of the season. Johnson, making his first start of the season following a four-game suspension by the NFL for cocaine purchases, scored Cincinnati's first two touchdowns on runs of one and five yards. He helped set up his second touchdown by carrying six times for 22 yards in a 12-play, 54-yard drive. Jonnson, who had carried just 32 times in two previous games while working back into shape, lugged the ball 26 tunes for his 112 yards.
